The history of colonialism cannot be separated from the history of humanitarianism. Acknowledging this, humanitarian and development actors must make greater efforts towards localisation, decoloniality, and dismantling white supremacy in order to address power imbalances and achieve racial equity within the humanitarian sector.
The Anti-racism and Localisation Workstream aims to create and build anti-racism and localisation practices and policies into the Alliance’s Technical Support Team (TST). The Workstream also strives to share their experiences and lessons learned with the wider GNC Technical Alliance and the nutrition sector.
See below for some key resources that have been inspiring our Anti-racism and Localisation journey.
Key Activities:
- Facilitate discussions, reflections and learnings around anti-racism and localisation within the TST
- Develop and monitor the TST’s Anti-racism and Localisation Commitments (coming soon)
- Curate and share anti-racism and localisation case studies, lessons learned and resources for nutrition practitioners throughout our anti-racism and localisation journey
