Hi, I'm Colleen.

I am a member of the GNC Technical Alliance Leadership team, serving in the NGO co-lead role currently held by World Vision.

I have worked on global health and nutrition issues for over 20 years, providing leadership for design, implementation and evaluation of nutrition programs, including short-term and remote technical support for several countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, along with emergency deployments to Bangladesh, Chad, and Democratic Republic of Congo. I have led nutrition policy and technical guidance development, including nutrition competency assessment, and capacity building initiatives. I currently work as a senior technical advisor, health and nutrition, for World Vision International, providing leadership to programming related to child wasting. My areas of interest include infant and young child feeding, management of wasting, and multi-sectoral approaches to improving child health and nutrition outcomes. I am a trained peer-support breastfeeding counselor and put this training to use a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor at my local hospital. I studied Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, and Public Health Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
