Najwa

Hello, I am Najwa Al-Dheeb, a physician and public health expert with over 15 years of experience in maternal, newborn and child health, focusing on early child development and equity both in emergency and development contexts. I have been working with UNICEF for almost 10 years and before joining UNICEF HQ, I have carried out different roles; nutrition specialist, health and nutrition specialist, manager, and Nutrition cluster coordinator.

I have led several nutrition emergency responses and worked on CMAM, IYCF, Micronutrients and Community outreach, nutrition strategies, multisectoral action plans for wasting and stunting, nutrition voucher scheme, supply chain management and information system strengthening. I have worked with several ministries, international NGOs and other UN agencies in UK, UAE, Yemen, Egypt, Nepal, Jordan, Kenya and Nigeria.

I hold two master's degrees in community medicine and public health with a focus on health services research from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I currently live in Amman, Jordan with my two children. You can find out more about me on my LinkedIn.
