Mid Year Report 2025

January to June 2025

Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP)
Current Challanges

Information Gaps: Limited availability and reliability of nutrition data due to restrictions on SMART surveys, IPC analysis, and other assessments.

Dual Authority Issues: Complexities arising from operating in a context with dual authorities, potentially leading to bureaucratic hurdles and coordination challenges.

Funding Shortages: Insufficient funding for critical nutrition activities, particularly the Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program (BSFP).

Multi-sectoral Coordination: Difficulties in effectively implementing multi-sectoral interventions, hindering a comprehensive approach to addressing malnutrition.

Capacity Gaps: Limited capacity of the government, including healthcare workers (HWs), community health volunteers (CHNVs), and the Nutrition Information System (NIS), affecting service delivery and data collection.

Supply Chain Issues: Challenges in ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of essential nutrition supplies.

Quality of Services: Concerns regarding the quality of nutrition services provided, potentially due to various factors such as capacity gaps, supply shortages, and access limitations.
