Rapid Response Team: Nutrition Information System Specialist

My name is Anteneh Gebremichael Dobamo, and I am the GNC’s advisor on Nutrition Information Systems and Humanitarian Policy. I support GNC priority countries globally in effectively implementing the humanitarian programming cycle, providing technical oversight and support in needs assessment and analysis, emergency response preparedness, strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting. I collaborate with global partners, including the IPC Global Support Unit, JIAF/OCHA Partnership, and FSIN, on humanitarian needs assessments and analyses.

I hold an undergraduate and master’s degree in Public Health, a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management, a PhD in Health and Public Policy, and have completed executive leadership training. With over 15 years of international experience in humanitarian programming and coordination, I have led coordination efforts in the top five most complex humanitarian emergencies and provided technical support to over 70 GNC priority countries.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking, keeping up with current affairs, and exploring world history.
