Hi, I am Alexandra (Alexa) Humphreys, the GNC Strategy Development Consultant. I bring to this position a wealth of experience in humanitarian nutrition, with a focus on localisation, climate, assessment, research, and capacity strengthening. I am passionate about translating data into action. I look forward to leading the development of the GNC Strategy for 2026-2029, ensuring that it aligns with the evolving needs of the Nutrition Cluster and integrates localisation principles as outlined in the GNC Localisation Roadmap.

Prior to this role I served as the GNC Localisation Helpdesk and before this as the Assessment Advisor on the GNC Ops Team, where I supported practitioners in enhancing the quality of nutrition assessments. I have multi-regional survey experience in English, French, and Portuguese, aiming to ensure capacity strengthening is embedded and our national colleagues are centered in our work.

I have an MSc from Tufts University in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition with an emphasis on Humanitarian Assistance and a BA in Sociology. I am based in Lisbon, Portugal and have two guinea pigs and a tortoise named Mali.
